Im thinking i need a 4x4 ATV for pushing snow and hunting and all the fun stuff. My question to you guys is what are some of the better ones to watch for? I will probabally be looking for something used in the $4000 or less range. Are there any that i should stay away from? Any info i can get from you experienced atv-ers would be great!!! Thanks alot

I would look at a yamaha kodiak 450.You should be able to pick up an 06 or older for around $4000.00 or so.You could also pick up some older grizzly 660's.These are nice machines and there are tons of parts for them around. They make nice plow units. This guy sells nice used ones if your lookin anywhere in S.D
powerbrokers.inc he's out of S.F

My opinion is there are alot of good bikes in that 450 to 650 range. They will do anything that you want to do and anywhere you want to go. I have a Kawi Brute 750 that I ride at Halsey and push snow with. Love it except it's a gas hog. I'm usually at half tank when my buddies aren't off full. It's a runner but I would probably be fine with a 450. You can only go so fast at Halsey anyway, and I would imagine a 450 would push snow just fine.

Belt or no belt? I love my foreman for pushing snow cause it has no belt and foot shift. The down side is its a pain to go back and forth with shifting into reverse. A honda rubicon 500 would be nice, just move lever back into reverse and drive. Lincoln cycle had a nice polaris 400 with a blade on it for around $4000. Alot of great machines in that price range.

I might sell one of mine for around that figure and I only live 5 miles from eagle.
But... Won't be home till it warms up. Or maybe by Superbowl. Buying bigger house down here so a few friends can come down here and hang out. Have enough ground for riding but both next door neighbors are Florida Highway patrol. Course maybe they will join in.

I push with an 05 Scrambler. It's not stock, but have had great luck with it. No low hasn't been an issue because I clutched it. Has a higher engagement and more aggressive. No issues with slippage. I have a small "city drive" thou.....

It's been a fun quad to own. I think it's really a great quad for play down at the ATV park and it also can do some work. The pic is from the Christmas snow. I have a 50" Quadboss plow. It's been a great way to meet neighbors.
