 Post subject: raptor 700 not starting

Title: raptor racer for life
i just got done putting an air intake system and an efi controller and now it wont start. i checked all the connections and everything is hooked up and when i try to start it, it will try to start and sometimes turn over for no more than 1 second then die. if anyone has a clue to what is going on, PLEASE reply :confused:

:arg: Thats why I fear working with fuel injection! Have u tried to put stock parts back on to trouble shoot from there! :sup:

whats the brand name of the progammer u put on it? i think u are suckin in way to much air. try to put like a sock or something around the filter to block off air and try to start it. if it runs ur way lean and not getting enough fuel. or it may be the oposite maybe the progamer is telling it to feed it more fuel then it needs. efi is to new to tell ya what to do exactly. harldy anyone knows anything about them. thats why i am sticking to a carb.

I bought my street bike thinking the efi was great-only to learn it has no O2 sensor to adjust for anything! So I was back to square 1! They need power comanders and programing-which is awsome if u are a comp whiz! I like workin on machines but hate electrical gremlins-so I like carbs. I can usually find whats wrong by lookin in it. Just like workin on my chevelle compared to my carolla!
